You need to type the words first then add the photo. Make sure bottom left box is on preview not bbcode. This will enable you to see your picture. I hope this is not too complicated.

Sounds easy enough Aly, I'll give it a try tomorrow. Brain's foggy from heat and tiredness right now!

Well, it sort of worked....although I typed the words first and then put the photo underneath. Or at least I thought I did!
Anyway, it's the beginning of a sofa throw I made for my sister last year.

At our sewing bee this afternoon, I started to line the crocheted baby blanket that I have now finished. My friend recommends that I pick up some threads down the length of it in a few places, just to hold the lining in place. Not that easy !! Must crack on with it - I'd like to have it finished tomorrow to hand it over!

I bought a couple of lovely summer tops this week, without trying them on in the shop. One fits perfectly, the other, whilst fitting, is too long - it almost looks like a short dress rather than a t-shirt. I didn't want to take it back as I really like it, so initially thought I'd have to take it up - botheration, would have to be done by hand as I don't have a sewing machine and it's very fine material so might be awkward to get a straight seam. Oh, and I hate sewing!! But then I had a brainwave (doesn't happen very often!) - some of the tops in the shop are gathered at the sides - in fact I have a couple like that. So I put a couple of rows of loose running stitch about 6" up from the bottom on both sides, gathered it up evenly and tied it off - hey presto! A lovely summer top that's fashionable, gathered at the sides and now not too long. Sometimes I surprise myself

So, now I have almost completed both table runners for my nieces, the second one just needs the binding sewn down, then it'll be done. We're having an exhibition at our quilting group in September, so I'd better get on with the embellishing of the group quilt if it's to be finished in time. I may have to take it to France in August to get some more done. Meanwhile, I bought some gorgeous chunky pale lilac yarn while in France in June, and I'm crocheting a scarf for my niece's daughter whenever we go out in the car (OH driving, of course!) - it is so soft and cuddly!

Well done with the quilting! Still on my list! I have finished my first sock! It is not as neat as I would like but I am pleased with my first try! I have now started the second one! Somehow I think it will not match exactly!
