That was a bit silly, meant to say am going out to pick a few more Raspberries, we picked about Four Pounds by the look of it, not had Time to weigh them. Sun, still shining, Wind still blowing, might get a chance to do a bit of weeding with my new Toy. Opened a Jar of the Microwave pickled Cucumbers, my Daughter, thought they were gorgeous, so am down another Jar ! Bit sweet for me, as I thought they might be, will use less Sugar next Time.

Hello again to members of the new forum. I have just typed up a long post and lost it! User error on my part. Suffice to say it's been very busy here since I last posted on CSH. The drive and remaining small raised bed are looking good. The house has been painted by a local builder. OH and I have managed between us to paint our two big block-built sheds. The ride-on lawnmower has caused problems and I've had to cut the lawns with the self propelled mower. Just waiting for a bill - the new part is £300 eek! Son and granddaughter have stayed with us for a week whilst son was taking part in a survey on the flora and fauna on The Lizard (something to do with the effects of global warming). Family arriving again in 2 weeks ready for step granddaughter's graduation in Exeter. They will stay for almost a week so going to be busy again. The GP has agreed OH is well enough to travel so we have booked a 5 day break in Kent, visiting castles and gardens. Looking forward to the break away from work. Must go now as it's OH's birthday and we are going out to dinner at our local pub and we'll stay on for the Quiz Evening. We have a new landlord and the food is apparently very good.

Hi everyone - yes, I'm here - thankyou to Sue, who wrote to me. It's been a while, hasn't it, being able to chat with everyone! Been out today with daughter and family to watch an open-air production of Shakespeare's "A Midsummer Night's Dream" - really good. Picnic on the lawns beforehand, just a gorgeous day! Well done, Aly, for sorting this out.

Morning Lovely to hear from you Val. It has been very hard the last weeks without the forum. I am very sad all that information may be lost. Hattie and Danita have joined too and I really hope will post. It would be great to hear from them both. I just hope I can keep up with the technical side of running this! Fortunetly P is very computer literate.
We have a car club outing today. We are visiting three members who are restoring old cars then having a picnic and tour round a cider farm ( with tasting)!
Having to turn around the laundry for the Gite quickly as Wednesday we are doing our annual trip to the U.K. And I have to leave all ready for daughter as we have another changeover this coming Saturday. Life always seems so busy.
Mrs Broody abandoned the last two eggs so I have removed them. That means Dick the chick is alone. Seems very happy though as does mum. Once we get back from the U.K. I will let them both out with the flock. He/she will be much bigger and have a few feathers. The whole area has been chick proofed so I know it cannot get out anywhere.
Should get some knitting and crochet done this evening. I need my daily fix.
My thanks to you all for helping to make this work.

Hi Val, great to hear from you! The open air picnic and play sound really good fun. So does your day, Aly - especially the cider tasting!
Doing some garden stuff this morning, then off to friends for coffee later, which will be nice as they have an absolutely gorgeous garden. Hope it's not too hot though!

Morning all, not warm, and as usual, Grey, but there is Sun promised later, which I hope is true, as I at last have the Bag of Compost, I have been moaning about for Weeks, and need to get my Caulies out of temporary Quarters, and into their Forever Home. Might have Brother coming Today, so need to make a few Scones, at least, but also got to make Jam, as Raspberries have been picked. Better get a move on. bbl Have a good Day all. Tina x It is blooming cold here, Sue. x

Just a fleeting visit to say that life is hectic here as I am gathering builders for the restoring of part of my cottage so it will be easier to live in as I get older. Also part of the 'wychert' walls of the house need repairing & re-rendering/ painting etc.
I will try to pop in when I can.

Hi Nadine So lovely to hear from you. We still have not renovated our house yet but should start at the end of the year! Gites are close to being finished! Had a brilliant day! Bought six bottles of poire made at a local farm! It is a bit like Babycham but dryer.

Morning all, nice bright sunny start after another too warm night. A possible little shower forecast for later on this morning, with wall to wall downpours for tomorrow apparently - we really need it, everything in the garden is crying out for rain.
Got an early GP appointment, then just the usual housework jobs today. Will try putting a photo on later.
