Tina, do you have a Kindle? Amazon have a section of free books, which I use regularly - just ensure when you 'buy' them, that they are free! Perhaps a Kindle could be your next gift from the family...? I agree it isn't like reading a real book, but it is a handy device and not too heavy!

Finished Lady Henrietta Clive's Travels in India, can't say I enjoyed it, but had nothing else to read. Gave me a few Facts, that's all, that were interesting. Her Daughter Charley, became Tutor to the young Queen Victoria. Have sent for a Book by Claudia Winkleman, should be interesting, seeing who her Mother was.

Started my new Book, 'Victoria', by Lucy Worsley, did not have much hope of enjoying it, as have seen, and read so much about Victoria, but did not put the Book down till 12 oclock, and then, through the Night when could not Sleep, got up, made myself a hot Bottle, and a Cup of Horlicks, and read some more! had to force myself to leave it.

I've just finished the Adventures of the Yorkshire Shepherdess. Lovely gentle bedtime reading, going into more depth about the Owens' life. I do like watching the TV programme too.

Started my Book, and had to put it down, reluctantly , at Twelve, so will be a bit dozy today. Was very interesting, just goes to show, we Joe Public, never know the truth, but all's well, that ends well, and The Queen Mother, as the younger Queen, was exactly the Person needed for that Time.

Started my new Book, and what an Eye opener it is, called 'The real Diana', It overturns anything I thought I knew about the Courtship of Charles and Diana, it appears that Diana, was not the Shy Nursery Nurse, she appeared to be, but had actually 'stalked' Charles for ages. Kept me happy yesterday, have always liked Charles, he is unlike some, a decent Human Being.

That's interesting Tina, as I have often wondered, with Charles and his relationship with Camilla, as young people they seemed suited, so when he was sent away as so often used to happen, why she married Andrew Parker Bowles? But, she did, and of course, the rest is history.

They would not have let Charles marry Camilla, at that Stage, she was too low down in the pecking Order, and she was what was known as fast. Think they knew they would not be allowed to marry.

Reading my new Book, 'Four Meals for Fourpence'. An Account of a Child's Life, growing up, in the East End, at the beginning of the 1900's, Father, a Docker, in the Authors Words, a stern unloving Man, but at least he did not drink, think he had other Pastimes. They had 19 Children, only five grew to Adulthood.
