I googled it and found an app called critter cutter. You can scan the bar code and it either lets you know if they test on animals or not or else takes the details to check and add to the database.

Morning Ferry was delayed last night so did not get home until just before midnight. Feeling very jaded today! Usual back log of washing to do! Dentist this morning then need to pick up a bit of shopping. After lunch we collect the boys, really looking forward to seeing them again. P has a Physio appointment later and that will be enough for today! Dick is getting very big, will get a photo later. Feathers growing well. Will have to think about letting them into the wider garden soon. Finished the first sock and am well on the way with the second. Managed to turn the heel on the ferry! They are not as tidy as I would like and are a bit big but will be great with my wellies!

Morning all, horribly windy and wet today, quite chilly too - even the dog didn't want to go out. Bet you're glad to be home, Aly....going away is lovely, but it's always nice to get home. I'm having a professional manicure this morning - the first one ever! Neighbour is a nail technician and is going to do me at a discount. I've never ever been one for faffing about with my nails, hair or makeup, but maybe I'll change in my old age!!! Got to go to town later to take some bags of stuff to the charity shop and will nip into The Range to look in the craft section, there's a few odds and ends I need to pick up.

Morning all, glad you are Home safe and sound, Aly, and always exciting to see your Animal Family, when you have been away. Give my Love to Dick, glad his/her Feathers are coming in, nearest I will get to the real Thing !lol. And well done, on turning the Heel of that Sock, something I never achieved without help, but that was in Primary School. ! When I did my Nursery Nursing Exams, we had to knit a Boy's Jumper, with a Fair Isle Collar, and a Matinee Jacket, also had to smock a Baby's Dress. I had a bright Idea to help my Bro, who needs something to occupy him, but does not have a lot of Concentration, Airfix Kits, so sent for a Starter Kit, a Harrier Jet, and a big Craft Apron, so Fingers crossed it will work, if it does, will buy him more of them. My Father was very Craft orientated, and did everything from mending our Shoes, to making beautiful Wood Sculptures. Am getting stuck in to my Orders, got to. Weather, raining, as usual. Have a good Day all, bbl Tina x

Had my nails done, the full works - fingers soaked in a softening bath, hands massaged with a lovely smelling almond cream, nails filed and shaped, cuticle conditioner applied then the cuticles pushed back, then a varnish base coat applied, 2 coats of colour, glitter(!!) applied to the tips and finally a top coat. I've had purple varnish with pink glitter tips My nails have literally never had so much attention before! Grr, just tried to put on a photo but it says it's too big.

Sounds lovely Sue, pity about the Picture. I will not be making any Dinner Today, as have dreadful Pains in my Stomach, they started after I had Fish, last Night, I thought it did not have any Flavour, perhaps it was a bit'off', as well, although only got it from the Fishmonger that Day, good Job I only eat small, just had two tiny Tail Bits. Have taken a big Tub of Custard, out of the Cupboard, and put it in the Fridge. My Mum, always swore that Custard, well, Cornflour, which it is, just sweetened and coloured, put a 'lining', on the Stomach. Better get back to Work, finished two Cards, waiting for the Glaze for them, a Box has just arrived, so hope it is within!

Alas, the Box did not contain my Glaze. Could I ask you something Aly, have just been watching a James Martin Cooking in France, Programme, and he bought, a Sweet Onion, and said they were really sweet, and you can't get them in the UK. They were bigger than normal, and flatter.

Morning all, early bright sunshine is being taken over by clouds and the wind is picking up again, heavy showers and even possible thunderstorms forecast today. Luckily, it's supposed to be nice for tomorrow and the next few days.
I can't wait to get this nail polish off....won't do it for a couple of days as I don't want to hurt my neighbour's (the lady who did it, she's a nail technician) feelings. But I keep looking at my hands and thinking that they're someone else's (my sister for instance, she's always having her nails done), varnished glittery nails are so not me! The experience was nice, being the first (and probably only) time I've had my hands massaged and nails done, but it's unlikely I'll be doing it again. I've never been one for faffing about with makeup, hair and nails, unlike my sister - I was clearly born to be a country girl, whereas my sis is definitely a townie!
I'm going to just sit and crochet today, husband will be doing something in his shed.

Morning all, have had to put the Light on to use the Computer, it is so Dark. Not raining, as yet. Am like you Sue, so not a 'Dress up' Person, never been into Jewellery, or Cosmetics, or 'owning', Things, think in my Case, being the eldest of Nine, you never got anything of your own, at least, if I did, it would end up with my Sister, and I never cared enough to make a Stand. Always been into making, and growing Things, that is where my Pleasure lies. Iam again being tidied up, that Day, comes round quicker every Week. Daughter, only wanted to make a start, when I was watching my Monkeys, last Night ! What is it with all this cleaning, the blooming House will be 'cleaned' away, at this rate. Have not got a Cake, and as poor old Bruv might come over the Weekend, will have to do something about it. I prefer a Fruit Cake, but he likes a Victoria Sponge, might split the difference, and make a Coffee and Walnut Sponge. Yep, think will do that. Stomach, much better Today, Thank goodness. Must make a start, have a good Day, all. Tina x

Gite sorted for guests arriving today. Been out to buy the bits for the welcome pack. As these are French Parisians we have put a bottle of poire, a local drink in, rather than wine! Grey with showers today so not an outdoors day. Still catching up on washing, one more load to do then a mountain of ironing. Yogurt underway but need to make a cake this afternoon. Brought a loaf back with us to start us off so will need to make a loaf tomorrow. All the barley crops are in now and the maize is very high and developing corns. Feels like the year is rushing past! Another quiet day needed.

Morning Will look out for the onions Tina but am not aware of them. May be regional, there is lots of that here! Need to muck out ducks and geese today. Another loaf is needed too, the puff of wind we bought in Tesco is nearly gone thank goodness. I have a curtain to make for la Jonquille so may do a bit more of my skirt. Would also like to get the second sock finished as it is very nearly done! Garden needs attention after eight days away but not sure I will get that done today. Back to the renovations tomorrow.

Morning all, nice and sunny here. Taking Betty out soon for an early walk round the Marshes before the crowds turn up - it gets quite busy with families at the weekend and I suspect will be even more so now the schools have broken up.
I see Toni's joined us *waves*
Don't know what to do today, nothing springs to mind this early!

Morning all, dull here, nothing unusual in that, but very close. Yes, Indeed, welcome Toni, lovely to have you back. x Aly, the Onions were, am not going to be able to Spell it, The Langendoc Area, and yes, he was Regional Cooking. But, I suppose the mild White Ones you buy here, will be much the same. I remember my Mum buying from the Johnny Onion Sellers, she swore they were better than Home grown. I might not have bothered making the Sponge, yesterday, eldest Son, came in while it was baking, and said, " that's rising nicely, be back for some Tomorrow. Daughter came up, said she had Guests that Evening, and could she get half. Froze the other half, as my Stomach Infection is still with me. How do you get rid of Ants, in the House? To my Horrer found them running around in my Bathroom, this Morning. Going to have a relaxing Craft Day, only got One more Order, then can make some that I want to do. Have a good Day all. Tina x

Morning Not raining yet! Pleasantly cool though. Put the big duvet on again for last night! We have a lion on the loose locally! The police think it had escaped or had been released from a private collection as they do not know of any locally and no circuses have been here! Bit of a weird one! Chick is now enjoying a bit of courgette each day and mum is back on her normal feed. The chick has tried it and gone back to the crumb! The chick is now growing some ginger feathers. Had an enquiry for our last two weeks in August. Should hear today. Hope they book. Waiting for our insurance company to let us know how much will be paid out for my dental treatment. Then I can decide whether or not to go ahead. I have a list of things to do this week so will carry on working through that!
