Have a half and half (1/2 stoneground wholemeal, 1/2 strong white) loaf proving, have now made the lemon drizzle and put it in the oven. Just about to make choc chip & cherry muffins when I've finished my coffee, they'll be going in the freezer.

Made a quick Victoria sandwich this morning. OH had tried to change the brake pads on the 4x4, and the 'pins' had rusted in, so we had to get it to a garage! It was meant to go in today, but as yesterday was a bit more clement, weatherwise, we asked if it'd be okay to take it in early, yesterday, and he said that was fine. Then he phoned last night to say it was all done ! So, we were able to collect it this morning. Brilliant. So, that is why I made the Victoria sandwich, to take along to the guys who do such a good job.

They certainly did, Aly. Trouble is, they'll probably expect it again ! I'm trying to stay off the cakes - it's so easy to put on the pounds, ay? OH loves them, though, and he's nearly finished the cherry and coconut cake; I have some leftover coffee cream so I'll probably make him a coffee cake. (Trouble is, I like coffee cake...!)

On Sunday, while packing to come home, I realised I needed some bread without holes in the slices (!), as I always make egg sandwiches for the journey. I made a lovely wholemeal loaf, and while I had the Kenwood up and ready, I made a batch of seedy rolls too. Then realised no cake for the journey, so a quickly made cherry and coconut loaf cake had to be made. By the by, we do like mustard and cress with our egg sandwiches, so before we left the UK, I bought two little punnets. The journey to France used up one of them, and the other I stored in a polybag, in the crisper of the fridge - and it was still perfect 16 days later, so I'm well chuffed that we managed to be able to use it for yesterday's sandwiches, too.

I'm looking for a recipe for tiramisu, but without eggs.
I have found some on the internet, but has anyone tried making it, and with success?
