As you get more into the winter i find it really is a good time to read,
I read every night pre going to sleep (ie i read until it makes no sense and then it is time to put the book down turn the light off and sleep)
But what i thought i would like to pass on is one or two good places to get books from,
Now i have a really good collection of gardening books and they cost me little,
I have purchased these books from charity shops such as the animal rescue/red cross etc etc.
Now when it comes to the likes of gardening books !!!!!! These are given free to such charity shops etc by people who are clearing out the houses etc of those who have died and a lot of these older books we're written by gardening experts who really did know their stuff when it comes to the subjects in gardening,
In the old days to get into such print you had to prove you did have qualifications in the subject and a lot of these books have sections by more than one writer, hence the books can be 4 or 5 inches thick,
I find a lot of to days modern gardening books are about1 inch thick and the writers take up page after page with photo's of themselves or a full A4 size page of a picture of a cabbage or
carrot !!!!! and the information is very limited due to the size of the book and the one writer.
So if you want to get your hands on a few really good value for money books about all subjects ? Then give your local charity /Animal rescue shops a look in,
And all the money they receive ends up helping those in need and you get a good read in front of the fire on those long winter nights
