Greetings and i will kill two birds with one stone, ambersparkle first, I am a male aged 72yrs and i will tell you more in a few seconds,
brightspark next "Yes it is me and it is thanks to you im here, I was born in Liverpool to an Irish Father and English Mother.
Now a bit about myself. I was lucky enough to marry a smashing girl not that long ago (46yrs ago) and her name is SHARON and she is Irish, We moved here "France the Crues dept23" some 16years ago, We are both Animal lovers and just can not get enough of Nature and all it has to offer "Do not get me wrong we are not into running around nude, And that brings me onto our next big love in life and that is gardening and country living,
We have two rescue dog's and they're both spoilt rotten and they know it, My other interest are classic cars and motor bikes, I have been known as a petrol head for many years, As i write this intro i am bringing back to life a Citroen 2cv and this gets worked on during the no gardening weather ie winter. Sharon likes the charity shops and in the summer having spent the winter months collecting and repairing all sorts of old stuff she attends Brocants (french for car boot sales) she likes selling her now done-up goods and meeting people, So folks i hope this has given you some sort of idea as to our way of living.

Interesting, Dan, as the Moonraker name is renowned to be someone from Wiltshire: "Moonrakers is the colloquial name for people from Wiltshire, a county in the West Country of England. This name refers to a folk story set in the time when smuggling was a significant industry in rural England, with Wiltshire lying on the smugglers' secret routes between the south coast and customers in the centre of the country. The story goes that some local people had hidden contraband barrels of French brandy from customs officers in a village pond. While trying to retrieve it at night, they were caught by the revenue men, but explained themselves by pointing to the moon's reflection and saying they were trying to rake in a round cheese. The revenue men, thinking they were simple yokels, laughed at them and went on their way. But, as the story goes, it was the moonrakers who had the last laugh." I see that the Department of Creuse is more in central France - our house is in the Charente-Maritime, a coastal department. My OH is a like-minded fan of special cars and motorcycles. Due to both hips being replaced, he has now sold both of his Vincent motorcycles. We still have a couple of cars that only come out in the sunshine - his hobby!
