Well that is Davood out, never saw that coming, and Alexandra in the Dance off again, must be very disheartening for her, as there was some very good Dancing, must be People just do not like her. I always take everything as a whole, and believe it is all a Package and every bit counts. Not a nice Dress, poor Choreography, nothing wrong with her Dancing.

Yes I'm sad Davood has gone, I really liked him. I'd like Joe to win.

He has been hiding his Light under a Bushel, though, and has had much more experience in Musical Theatre than he let on, but who the Public want to win, will, in the end, they clearly are not behind Alexandra, for whatever reason, she must feel now, that whatever she does, it will not be enough. Poor Lass, I really feel for her. She was never my favourite, but does not deserve all this nastiness she is getting. People should be ashamed of themselves, and remember, what goes around, comes around.

Just watched The Coronation on BBC1, absolutely fascinating seeing the Crown Jewels in close up, hearing all about the Queen's clothes, and watching the Coronation itself. As I wasn't born then, I've never seen any of that in detail before. It was lovely seeing the Queen watching footage of it all and hearing her thoughts on the day. She's so matter of fact and down to earth. I really enjoyed it, I love the Royals.

New series of Call the Midwife starts tonight, looking forward to that. Followed by McMafia - can't really get into that, although husband likes it, but I don't mind watching as James Norton is very easy on the eye :-))

Television is dire just now. We need something to cheer us up. Am fed up with all these old Game Shows.

Yesterday morning, amongst the general garden birds, we had a visit from a hawfinch - it's only the second time I've seen one - and both times in the garden, here in France. Last night on "Winterwatch", they were discussing them, and lots of folks were sending in photographs of the hawfinch(es) they'd seen. Love nature programmes.

I like nature programmes too but greatly dislike the carnage. I know it happens but do not want to see it. Very little on just now so tend to get on with crochet or knitting each evening.

Whilst husband was on his boys' night out last night, I watched a film I'd recorded the other day - A Walk in the Woods, about the travel writer Bill Bryson and his friend walking the Appalachian Trail. I really enjoyed it, it was a gentle film (well, apart from the friend's (played by a positively ancient and wildly unhealthy looking Nick Nolte) prolific swearing) with a good interesting storyline. I've never read any Bill Bryson books as I assumed (wrongly, it seems) that he just wrote dry, factual and boring travel books....having seen the film, I googled him and found out he's very funny and his books are filled with humorous anecdotes, just like the film. So I shall start reading some of them!

Yes, indeed , Sue, he is a very funny Writer, I think he has some British connections, maybe his Wife. Years ago, read one of his Books, then read a lot of them, all very entertaining, must re read some. Think he wrote One about Britain, History of a small Island or something similar.
