Had an unexpected Visit from a Senior Leader, we chanted together, and these is another Member now, in Kirkcaldy, so she will bring her to meet me, as she is disabled, has a Problem with her Sight. Looking forward to that, and she also brought me an Advent Calender. Choccie One. x

Good things for you both, then.
We got our first Christmas card delivered today (friends who are very organised!)....I don't know whether to be happy or not! It's a nice card, but is covered in glitter....which means I am too! Grr

A small flock of about 15 or so Redwings in the field behind us...along with huge flocks of Starlings. So there are some benefits to winter!

Yesterday evening I stood watching 2 adult foxes in the back field, from our bedroom window....one of them was limping on a front leg, sadly. I know not everyone likes foxes (particularly if you have chickens), but I just enjoy them for the beautiful wild creatures they are.
And this morning whilst out in the garden, I suddenly noticed a male bullfinch sitting on our utility room roof. They are such gorgeous birds, we had a pair and an additional male in the garden last summer for a couple of weeks, then they disappeared and I thought I'd never see them again. And the house martins are back! Only about 4 or 5 at the mo, but the rest will follow over the next few days. They've been whizzing around catching flies today.

It upsets me when foxes take my ducks and chickens but I would never harm one. Three of my chicken eggs have pipped!

Very specific I know, but it made me happy this morning when I received a fabric order from Fabricland. I recently bought some fat quarter packs on offer from Hobbycraft, buying two made it cheaper, and one of the colours was a mixture of light greens. Today, among my Fabricland fabrics was a daffodil pattern, and when it arrived, I discovered the greens from Hobbycraft was a perfect partner to the daffodils. Can't wait to conjure a pattern to show off the gorgeousness! Daffodils (black option): www.fabricland.co.uk/product/floral-doreen-daffodil-cotton-fabric/It was my first order from Fabricland, and I can thoroughly recommend them. The plain cotton fabrics (i.e. not poly-cotton) are all very good quality. Have a good day everyone, x

Looks lovely, Val.
My happy thing for the day (I'm making an effort to think of at least one every day) is the bright blue cloudless sky, and knowing my brother is spending a couple of days with Mum sorting her garden out for her.

I mentioned before that I am going to Yarndale in Skipton as part of my holiday. I have today booked into a workshop to learn how to knit a lace shawl. Really looking forward to it now.

The sun is shining; the sky is blue with wispy white clouds; the kitchen is coming together; we're going shopping this morning, and I shall be looking for a gift for my friend's 70th birthday, as well as some threads for my quilting. Yay, it's a good day!
Have a lovely day, everyone, x

Beautiful Day, but airy, but we have Sun, so will be able to finish, getting my Planters ready, for my Bulbs. Feel sorry, for People that can't appreciate the simple Joys of Life. Enjoy your Day, Val. x
