Yes last night was our coldest one yet. Thank goodness for a nice warm house and no need to go anywhere....other than dog walking. Fortunately, the field behind us is frozen solid (as opposed to the wet swamp it had been for weeks before the current cold spell), so we don't have to go far with Betty - she's more than happy to run around the field. We'd bought her a coat, worrying that she might get cold, but she hates it - as soon as it's on, she rolls over and over and then rubs herself along the wall or furniture, biting at it and trying to get it off! Her (own) fur coat is double thickness anyway, so she clearly doesn't feel the cold.
Local forecaster is predicting heavy snow for us from tomorrow - practically unheard of here.

Not sure of the outside temperature but the wind chill is dragging it down. Having flurries of light snow but it's being driven on near gale force winds. BRRR

We now have a Red Alert in Place, the icy Wind is driving the Snow into Drifts, snowing heavily.

Hope your carers will be able to get to you, Tina. Thinking of you. We've avoided the worst of the snow today but tomorrow's forecast is a different story. Glad I've got plenty of food indoors.

She says she will, Iris, but it is really bad here, Red Alert, means Life threatening. I will have to cancel my Hospital Appointment tomorrow, will not get down my Ramp in the Wheelchair for Starters. Been watching that Violent Children Programme, it is usually the fault of the Parent. I am a trained Children's Nurse, and used to work in a Children's Convalescent Home as a Staff Nurse, so do know what I am talking about. Really don't know why both Child and Mother are not receiving Counscelling, sorry, can't Spell it. Really makes me mad when the other Children in the Family have to put up with a violent Sibling, and the effect it has on them. Away to my Bed for a wee read. Night all. x

Well, still no snow here yet, but the sky looks full of it, and the local forecast says it will come down in earnest around midday. Hope your carer can manage to get to you, Tina, and that you have enough of everything to be able to cope.

Snow up all the Windows, can't see out til it melts, like being in a Lace Cage. not cold indoors, no heating on, but Snow being driven by those awful Winds never seen that before, at least not as bad as that.

Had a mix of sunshine and showers today and the snow is melting fast - lovely. However, it means that our garden is now a swamp and we have a river where the lane used to be. It's considerably warmer now which is great.
