Today, I had ordered a cauliflower in my shopping order, and this one arrived in a lovely cushion of green leaves. Often the majority of the leaves have been cut off, but not this one. Now, I usually cut the green part from the stalks and use the green just like cabbage. Seeing all the crisp stalks I wondered whether there is a recipe I could use for those too. I think I will try this one: thriftylesley.com/kounoupithi-yiahni-or-tomato-stewed-cauliflower-a-traditional-greek-food/ Lesley, the Thrifty Lady, suggests adding any other vegetable to this concoction, but I'm thinking especially for vegetarians, this looks quite tasty. This year, my friend and neighbour from France wants to come visit with her friend, who is a pescatarian, but I am sure they would both love this one. Iris, you may like this one for your vegetarian family member.
