Well, today the first thing that happened was an M&S box of flowers arrived - 22 yellow roses. My cousin, P, (more like a sister, as we're very close) had sent them as tomorrow, 27th, is our 50th wedding anniversary, and P was meant to be coming down to France to celebrate with us, as we were due to host the village party. Our son had booked a flight too. The celebrations have gone on hold though, and I'm not sure when we'll be able to all get together.
The second thing that made me happy today was receiving a huge envelope, and inside was the biggest card I have come across, and on the front was a picture of OH and I in his SS Jaguar when we took part in a Classic Car Run, and it was from OH "For My Wife..." etc. He'd had it specially made with our photo.
xx

Many congratulations on your special anniversary. You have beaten us to it. We have to wait until February. Such a shame you cannot have your planned party with friends and family. And what a thoughtful card. Hope you are having a Zoom get together tomorrow or even better, a distanced family celebration.

Thank you Iris for your good wishes, yes it will be an actual get-together at son's house. Plan was for a barbecue, but not sure whether the weather will comply!

Became a Great Grandmother for the first time at 07.04 today! Feeling old but mother and baby are well. Keira Louise weighed in at 8lb 11oz or 3.935 Kg. So happy now the anxious wait is over.

Thanks xx I heard that wool warehouse were delivering here again so ordered the sweet pea blanket kit ( I gave the first one away). Had a mail this morning to say it has dispatched. I always need to have an attic 24 blanket on the go..crochet blankets are soothing.

Still never learned to Crochet, despite a kind Lady from the Church trying to teach me!

I learnt a couple of stitches to make baby shawls but never thought I could do anything else.. Then I found attic 24 and have not looked back. I do the crochet along every year and have grown in confidence. Her tutorials on her blog are very good and easy to follow. If you do Facebook there is an attic 24 page that has many knowledgeable people. I pulled away from Facebook when I was at my worst and have not gone back to it so far. I look in sometimes to get info on bees.

My phone came today. Took several hours to get it all set up but it is very spooky the way my iPad talks to it and gets everything from the cloud and puts it back on my phone. Was shocked to learn I have 11,000 messages on what’s app. Must delete some.
