Wow Tina you had a lucky escape. Not surprised you didn't want to sail again. As for falling at the feet of a good looking chap, I'm saying nothing

He had Dimples too, and looked, and smelt good. Of course next time we saw each other, we had already been introduced, if in a rather unusual way. started dating, I finished my Tour of Duty on the first of May, while he did not finish his till October, so we only had five Months left together. Started to plan the Wedding. I decided not to get married on Camp, as the Air Crew, were just daft enough to try something silly, so the only other Option, was the British Embassy in Baghdad.Fifty five Miles away. The only Date we could get, was April the First. So we were married over the Flag, The Consuls Desk was covered by the Union Jack. We had our Reception at the 'REST, AND LEAVE CENTER', And a Month later, I went Home, having served my full 2 and a half Years in the Middle East.

Would like to say, they lived happily ever after, but a few Months Courtship, a quick Marriage, does not auger well, and we knew nothing about each other, but we had lots of happy Times, the Marriage, lasted twelve Years, and three Boys later. We kept in touch for the Boys, and they were able to visit him, but he died very young, at 44, of a Brain Tumour.
